APLHIV Annual Community Awards

Recognition for those who contribute remarkably is the best way for appreciation. Appreciation and recognition of efforts is always helpful to make way towards success and effect change.

In 2022, to recognize and celebrate those individuals who put in extra efforts to serve their communities, and the organizations that contributed extraordinarily, APLHIV initiated its recognition of Individual PLHIV and organizations through the “APLHIV Annual Community Awards.” The awards are divided into two (2) categories: (1) the Individual Category, where individual PLHIV are honored for their tireless efforts towards their peers, and (2) the Organizational Category, which recognizes organizations that have made an extraordinary contribution to the HIV response.

This initiative follows an open competitive process, where interested individuals and organizations are invited through advertisements to send their letter of interest along with supporting documents. An independent Review Committee consisting of representatives from the public sector, UN agencies, and civil society reviews the submissions and finalizes the top three (3) positions. These top finalists are then awarded in recognition of their contribution.
