BACKGROUND:
The Association of People Living with HIV (APLHIV) is a Nationwide Network of people living with HIV, affected by HIV and associated key populations. The APLHIV was established in 2008, in response to the absence of an appropriate platform to voice and address the human rights issues of PLHIV and other associated populations/people and to provide them a quality of life with dignity. The APLHIV also provides an effective and vibrant venue to a wide range of National and International Organizations with diverse goals to get together to exchange and share HIV related resources and to engage in partnerships to enhance the quality, coverage and impact of their efforts to combat HIV epidemic and address the issues associated with HIV & AIDS. Advocacy, Monitoring, Research & Evaluation, Independence & Empowerment of the APLHIV and System Strengthening are the main Strategic Directions of the APLHIV.
MAIN OBJECTIVES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPOSED ANALYTICAL WORK:
APLHIV requires the services of an individual to support the Finance Manager in handling financial matters of the organization.
Roles & Responsibilities
Based in Islamabad at the Federal Secretariat of the APLHIV, this position will involve working in Sub Recipient Office under Global Fund grant. This also involves working with a dedicated group of people living with HIV from all over the Pakistan. Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Finance Manager, National Coordinator & Deputy National Coordinator. The incumbent will have the responsibilities. Including but not limited to;
- Responsible for the preparation and payment of payroll in order to ensure that project staff is paid accurately, in compliance with the approved budget and employment contracts and in timely manure.
- Act as custodian of petty cash and maintains record of disbursements and prepares payment request for replenishment.
- Responsible to make the books of accounts of the project using accounting software on cash basis, preparation of financial vouchers and maintenance of relevant financial records.
- Assisting Finance Manager in managing organizational budgets and expenditures including estimation and allocation of funds for Global Fund project on quarterly and yearly basis.
- Ensuring compliance with approved budget and prepare variance analysis reports.
- Assisting Finance Manager in preparation of periodic/ quarterly financial reports for submission to the donor office as per the requirement.
- Preparation of bank reconciliation of all bank accounts on monthly basis.
- Ensuring deduction of tax at source, deposit in the bank account and statutory reporting to the income tax department.
- Act as a custodian of fixed assets and responsible for the record keeping & reporting of all the assets to the management.
- Ensuring verification of all the accounts record before auditory process.
- Any other task assigned by Finance Manager, National Coordinator and or Deputy National Coordinator.

REQUIRMENT FOR EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION:
Qualifications:
Master degree in Accounting and Finance or equivalent.
Experience Required:
Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in the field of accountancy, audit and financial management. Relevant field experience will be preferred.

- Advance level working experience of MS Excell and QuickBooks.
